Cast gold bars are produced using traditional, simple methods. Gold is first melted down to a liquid form so it can be poured into molds. These prefabricated molds are made from heat-resistant materials and are designed to ensure that the shape allows for a particular weight of gold to be poured into the mold based on its size and shape. An Argor-Heraeus logo is featured as the primary design on the obverse of the 250 Gram Argor-Heraeus Cast Gold Bars. The Argor logo can be found at the top of the design with the company initials in a central circle surrounded by a ring with the full company name. The nation of issue and weight are marked below this, followed in order by the metal content, purity, assayer’s mark, and serial number.
