The obverse depicts the Mint’s stamp on top position. The bar’s origin, weight, metal content, and purity read: “SWITZERLAND,” “100g,” “FINE GOLD,” “999.9”. On the bottom are the assayer’s mark and unique serial number.

The reverse features the Kinebar hologram technology, which embosses holographic elements onto the substrate of the reverse side, so the surface changes colors as you move the bar. There is an Argor-Heraeus stamp in a central position on this side too.

Argor Heraeus was formed as Argor SA in Chiasso, Switzerland, in 1951. Several mergers have occurred in the intervening years, including the companys 100% acquisition by UBS in 1973 and a 1986 split venture between UBS and the German Heraeus group that formed the modern Argor Heraeus SA. The mint is now headquartered in Mendrisio, Switzerland.
