German Empire coins are minted in five German mints: F – Stuttgart (former Kingdom of Wuerttemberg), G – Karlsruhe (eformer Grand Duchy of Baden), A – Berlin (former Kingdom of Prussia) ,D – Munich (former Kingdom of Bavaria), J – Hamburg (Hanseatic City of Hamburg).

Obverse: The obverse of the coin depicts the German Grand Duke of Baden – Friedrich I, with the inscription “FRIEDRICH GROSHERZOG VON BADEN” engraved around him. At the bottom of the coin is a gilt “G”, which is the mark of the Mint of Karlsruhe.

Reverse: The emblem of the German Empire is depicted – the Imperial Eagle with the Crown, the name of the country around it “DEUTSCHES REICH” (En. German Empire). At the bottom of the coin, below the Eagle’s mintmark “10 MARK” and the year of minting the coin.
