Description

Big Five Series
First introduced in Proof quality in 2019, this series features wildlife synonymous with Southern Africa. The series has included the elephant, lion, rhino, leopard and buffalo. This successful series now has the first bullion coin featuring the elephant, a symbol of strength and family unity. This is a great series to collect for coin collectors, nature lovers and anyone who appreciates great art on Precious Metals. This series celebrates Africa’s precious wildlife by featuring the strength and beauty of the Big Five.

South African Mint
The South African Mint produces Proof Krugerrands and works with the Rand Refinery to mint the bullion. The mint is owned by the South African Reserve Bank and mints coins and bullion for them. President Paul Kruger decided to establish a national mint in 1886 when Gold was discovered near Johannesburg. The South African Mint is one of the world’s top exporting mints today.
