Description
Backstory. In 1969’s On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Bond is shown the heraldic design at the College of Arms in London where genealogist Sir Hilary Bray describes it as “argent on a chevron sable… three bezants”, adding “good motto, eh? The world is not enough.”
Details. The coin’s reverse portrays the Bond Family Crest with the motto in Latin – ‘ORBIS NON SUFFICIT’. Highlighting the anniversary, the shield is augmented with the number ‘60’. Also included in the design is the inscription ‘SIXTY YEARS OF JAMES BOND’ and the iconic 007 gun logo. The obverse of the coin bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, as well as the coin’s weight, purity, monetary denomination and 2022 year-date.
