ABOUT THE ARGOR-HERAEUS REFINERY
Initially established as Argor SA in 1951 in Chiasso, Switzerland, Argor Heraeus is among the world’s most trusted international mints and refineries. Through its first two decades in operation, Argor SA remained an independent company. In 1973, UBS acquired a 100% stake in Argor SA. A joint venture with the German Heraeus Group in 1986 resulted in the formation of the new Argor-Heraeus refinery. Today they are one of the world’s largest global providers of gold, silver, platinum, and palladium precious metal products and the world’s largest global provider of services in the Precious Metal industry.
