Description
Each 25 Gram Gold 2025 Canadian MapleGram includes 25 individual coins, each sealed in its own card within a larger blistercard. The Royal Canadian Mint provides an assay card with each set, ensuring the weight and purity of the gold. Youll also find identifying marks on each sealed coin card.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 2025 MapleGram Gold Coins is a left-profile image of King Charles III. Created by Canadian artist Steven Rosati, this portrait debuted in 2024 and marks only the second time a Canadian has designed a monarchs effigy for Canadian coinage. The design shows the King without a crown.
Reverse
The reverse of each coin displays the sugar maple leaf, designed by Walter Ott. Introduced in 1979, this design has been a constant feature on all Maple Leaf bullion coins. It remains a clear symbol of Canadian identity and is used across all sizes and metals in the series.
History
The 1 Gram Gold Maple Leaf was introduced in 2014, rounding out the Maple Leaf series that started back in 1979. The MapleGram option allows for fractional gold ownership, offering a convenient way to invest in government-backed gold. Between 2014 and 2023, these small coins featured Queen Elizabeth II. Starting in 2024, they now display King Charles III.
