Description

American Silver Eagle coins are the official silver bullion product of the US Mint. Introduced in 1986, these bullion versions of the coin have been struck in every year since then with the same beautiful design of Walking Liberty.

In this product listing you’ll receive a 1 oz American Silver Eagle coin in Mint State 69 condition. Coins in this condition are considered near-perfect, exhibiting full, original mint luster and a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. The coins will arrive in an NGC, PCGS, or CAC plastic slab with various labels available, such as Early Release or First Strike. Please keep in mind that the CAC both certifies coins and places verification stickers on coins it has authenticated the existing grade of, meaning some NGC or PCGS slabs may feature a CAC sticker.

Both the ER and FS labels, potentially available in this listing, indicate coins that were received for grading by the respective certification houses within the first 30 days of their release in a given year of issue.

On the obverse of all American Silver Eagle coins is Weinman’s Walking Liberty. Her beautiful figure has appeared on the Silver Eagle since its 1986 introduction, and originally featured on the Walking Liberty Half Dollar coin from 1916 to 1947. Created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman, Walking Liberty is a depiction of Lady Liberty striding toward the setting sun with her right arm outstretched. The imagery represents America’s constant drive toward a brighter future.

The reverse of all American Silver Eagle coins includes one of two depictions of the American bald eagle. The original reverse, designed in 1986 by John Mercanti and used through mid-2021, features the heraldic eagle with the US national shield. From mid-2021 onward, Emily Damstra’s new depiction of a bald eagle in flight with an oak branch features on the reverse.
