The Istanbul Gold Refinery is a leading manufacturer of .9999 pure gold in the Middle East region and is backed by Turkey’s government, the Turkish Treasury, and the Istanbul Gold Exchange.
On the obverse side of the 1 oz Istanbul Gold Refinery Gold Bar, you’ll find the initials “IGR” engraved at the top of the bar. The remaining markings are listed vertically down the bar’s obverse surface and include the weight, metal content, purity of the bar, the Istanbul Gold Refinery logo, and a seven-digit serial number.
The reverse face of the 1 oz Istanbul Gold Refinery bar includes a much simpler design. The only elements visible on this side of the bar are the refinery’s initials. The three letters “IGR,” all in capitals, are listed across the bar in a repeating pattern and set roughly on a 45-degree angle.
These 1 oz Istanbul Gold Refinery Gold Bars are housed inside of tamper-evident assay cards. The obverse side of the card has the refinery logo along with the bar’s weight and metal content. On the reverse side, you’ll find the matching serial number from the bar, the metal purity, weight, and a certified assayer’s signature.
There are also two primary security features included on this side. Along the right side and in the lower left there are security marks which are only visible under UV light. In the bottom-center of the card, you’ll notice a hologram of the Istanbul Gold Refinery logo.
